Murderers VS Sheriffs DUELS abilities change movement, vision, or post-elimination positioning around the knife-versus-revolver fight. RED21 Games’ historical patch archive confirms Dash, Propeller, Shroud, Soul Reap, and Weapon Buff at different dates; current community documentation also lists Sprint. This hub covers the four abilities authorized for detailed guides and calls the list “currently documented,” not complete.
Open the live ability menu before buying or equipping. Prices, cooldowns, durations, inputs, and even the available roster can change. Historical numbers below are labeled by source and date rather than presented as current promises.
Currently documented ability Dex
Dash
Role: horizontal burst and repositioning.
Best question: can the burst cross danger and still end at cover?
Counter idea: hold the likely landing route instead of chasing the start.
Official name/history; exact current values need testing.Propeller
Role: jump boost and elevation change.
Best question: does height create a new safe line on this map?
Counter idea: track the destination and keep an alternate route.
Official name/history; map uses need live confirmation.Shroud
Role: vision pressure through a deployed effect.
Best question: what action will the reduced vision enable?
Counter idea: retreat to known cover and avoid a blind chase.
Official historical vision effect; current timing needs testing.Soul Reap
Role: post-elimination repositioning around a spawned soul.
Best question: is a safe soul available, and where will the effect end?
Counter idea: track the exit rather than firing into an invulnerable state.
Official history plus one current community description.Weapon Buff and Sprint appear in the supporting evidence but do not have approved child routes in this build. Confirm them in the current menu and compare them from this hub rather than assuming a complete roster.
Pick an ability by the problem it solves
Choose Dash when a fast horizontal change can cross a watched lane, break a chase line, or create a second peek. The destination matters more than the speed. If the burst ends in open space, it may only move the danger.
Choose Propeller when elevation opens a useful route or view. Height is not automatically safety: a raised position can expose the player against the background and remove nearby cover. Test the landing and retreat before committing during a close round.
Choose Shroud when reducing vision enables a specific approach, escape, or teammate rotation. Activating it without a follow-up gives the opponent time to wait safely. In team modes, tell teammates which lane the effect is meant to open.
Choose Soul Reap only after understanding its condition. Community documentation describes an enemy soul left after an elimination and a temporary movement/protection state, while the official archive records a historical balance change and 5,000-Gem price. Read the current panel because the duration, combat lockout, speed, and price may differ.
Read evidence levels before reading numbers
An Official label means Roblox or RED21 Games stated the fact. An official patch note from 2023 proves what was announced then, not necessarily what runs now. Community reported means a directly relevant current page provides the detail but it has not been independently confirmed. Needs in-game testing means you should inspect the current menu or observe the live effect.
The community Abilities page observed during the September review reported a six-second Dash cooldown and 2,500-Gem price; a 1,250-Gem Propeller price; a seven-second Shroud cooldown, 2.5-second vision effect, wall-passing projectile, and 2,500-Gem price; and a four-second Soul window with a three-second movement/protection effect and 5,000-Gem price. Treat every one of those figures as a dated candidate, not a guaranteed current value.
Use numbers to form a test, not to overrule the client. If the menu or observed timer differs, follow the live version and note the date.
Practice one trigger at a time
Equip one ability and name the exact situation that should activate it. For Dash, the trigger might be “cross the open gap after the opponent commits.” For Propeller, “reach the upper route only when the landing is clear.” For Shroud, “reduce vision before the team enters the secondary lane.” For Soul Reap, “consume only when the exit leaves cover available.”
Play several matches without changing the trigger. Record whether the ability improved position, escaped pressure, created a safe attack, or ended in a worse lane. An ability can function exactly as described and still be the wrong choice for your current route.
Practice normal movement between uses. If every plan depends on the ability being ready, a missed timing or cooldown forces panic. The aim and movement guide builds a reliable base route.
Counter abilities by watching the destination
Against movement abilities, aim at the route or landing space rather than following the starting animation. Preserve cover so the opponent cannot turn one burst into an uncontested chase. If the current ability disables combat during movement, verify that behavior before betting the round on the window.
Against Shroud, fall back to a landmark you already understand. Do not sprint deeper while vision is reduced. Keep the crosshair near the most likely approach and wait for reliable information. In teams, state that vision is affected so another player does not assume the lane is clear.
Against Soul Reap, watch where the player can safely emerge. Community-reported invulnerability and movement speed require current verification, but attacking a protected phase repeatedly is less useful than controlling the exit.
Spend Gems carefully
Compare the live price with your current Gem reserve and next goal. An ability is easier to evaluate than a random case because you can define the problem it should solve, but it still may not suit your preferred queue or device. Use the current menu preview and do not buy from a historical price alone.
The official experience warns against farming Gems or stats. Earn through genuine play and current progression systems. Do not arrange empty matches or alternate-account loops to unlock an ability faster.
If you are choosing between an ability and cosmetics, finish a short practice block first. Identify whether movement, vision pressure, or post-elimination repositioning would actually address the repeated mistake. The Gems guide provides a budget order.
Ability questions to verify in game
- Current roster, equipped-slot limit, input, and whether sides share the same choices.
- Price, cooldown, duration, range, landing control, and combat lockout for each ability.
- Whether Shroud still passes through walls and exactly who its vision effect touches.
- Whether Soul Reap still creates a soul, how long it remains, and what protection applies.
- Which current map routes can be reached with Propeller without trapping the player.
- Whether any ability behavior changes between 1v1 and team modes.
Next route
Read Dash for horizontal repositioning, Propeller for elevation, Shroud for vision control, and Soul Reap for its post-elimination condition. Pair the choice with 1v1 practice before coordinating it in team modes.
